Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I am out of network for insurance, meaning that I do not accept insurance plans, yet I help people be reimbursed through their out of network benefits if their insurance provides that.

How much does therapy cost?

At this time, an individual session is $150 and a dyad/triad/etc is $180. You can find the most up-to-date session rates here.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I am a member of the Open Path Collective and have limited slots available through that platform. Any client interested in exploring a reduced rate is welcome to read more about Open Path Collective and apply to see if they may qualify.

Do we have to talk about polyamory the whole time?

Not at all! For many clients, polyamory isn't even the main focus of our sessions, yet knowing that their therapist is well-versed in the community is comforting for them for when those concerns do arise. As I have been a therapist for well over a decade, I am am trained to help you navigate a wide array of concerns that impact your life.

Do my partners or polycule have to come to therapy, too?

Oftentimes clients know right away if they want individual or relationship therapy, yet sometimes it's unclear what could be most helpful. If the latter is the case, I'm happy to explore all possibilities together.

Do I have to be polyamorous to meet with you?

Nope! Several of my clients do not identify as nonmonogamous and we have a great working relationship. If you feel like we could be a good fit, please reach out so we can schedule a consultation.

Do you provide WPATH letters?

No, I do not. I acknowledge that I need more training and a deeper understanding as to what needs to go into a WPATH letter to write one confidently. Recently some insurances have begun requiring that a physician or doctor provide this letter; in that event, I would be unable to write one regardless of any training I complete as I am not a doctor. If you do reach out to me for a WPATH letter, I will recommend clinicians that you can connect with to have this need met.
